A theory about Bismuth’s personality

I don’t think Bismuth is evil or anything, but I feel that she’s way too much “for” the Crystal Gems, outside of treating Pearl and Garnet like her army buddies. What I mean is that she goes out of her way to take down any Gem that isn’t on Rose’s side. For example, even though Lapis was only on Earth to report on it, she got sucker-punched by Bismuth. She didn’t even try to fight back.

I think that because of this, Bismuth was considered too dangerous, which is why she was kept in Lion’s mane way before the Boiler Room even existed. She was taking her job EXTREMELY seriously and tried to poof ANY Gem that wasn’t associated with Rose.

Why I think Jasper’s Gem is cracked.

Besides the obvious fact that we never see Jasper’s face at any point of the episode, there’s the scene where Jasper and Lapis are falling after unfusing from Malachite. There are odd, bright streams coming from Jasper as she falls.  As she’s falling face-up, that could be light escaping from her Gem after it got cracked.

We never saw if that happened to Amethyst, because she fell face-down when it happened to her. We also don’t see this effect anywhere on Lapis.

I think that the force of Malachite’s explosion could have cracked Jasper’s Gem, even if it’s just a little.

Is Lapis Lazuli really selfish?

I hear talk about how Lapis is supposedly the most selfish bitch ever because she wants to be free and tried drowning Steven and Connie when approached, but.. I’m pretty sure that was just means of self defense and a reaction from fear. I mean, she was trapped for a REALLY damn long time.

It was wrong, definitely, but I would not say she’s selfish. Not in the slightest. I mean, Jailbreak as a whole flat-out proves that she cared for Steven’s well-being. She trapped herself AGAIN just to stop Jasper. If that’s not a sign of actually caring about someone else, then I don’t know what is.
