What they did here is just insult to injury. Army and Navy reach out desperately to stay together after they’ve been blasted into space for all eternity and just as they reach each other the Crystal Gems ram into them and split them apart.
It turned the Crystal Gems into this.
Since the other options were for Rubies, Quartzes, and even the Diamonds, what do you think this option was for? I’m not sure myself, and I don’t even know why you’d need Gems that small, but I think they turned into these when they failed to escape Earth in time.
