The Pyramid Temple

cleavcher

So, a lot of people think that the gem in The Pyramid Temple is White Diamond. Here’s exactly what the Pyramid Temple is.

So, we start off by asking the questions how long has it been there and why haven’t the Crystal Gems seen it until Serious Steven? First, probably an extremely long time. The paintings inside of it look extremely withered and the whole thing looks old and worn.

Now, we get to the interesting part. Why haven’t the Crystal Gems seen it? Simple, because while Rose was alive she never let them come back to the Strawberry Battlefield and never let them come anywhere near the Pyramid Temple. Why? It’s a death trap that’s meant to kill anyone or anything that comes into it and meant to never let it’s unwilling motor, White Diamond, escape.

White didn’t form it. It was machinery that White unwillingly was powering. Rose used White as a power source for the temple. That’s why some certain things went back into the Gem, like the triangle-shaped platforms, while other things just flat-out exploded, like the pyramid’s exterior. She was never meant to escape, and probably for a very good reason.

My boyfriend and I came up with this together.

Also adding to this, the mural shows hands grabbing for White Diamond. The hands are probably meant to represent Gems who have tried to free her before. The obelisk also has the exact same pose that White herself has.
